Snapshots of a City Caught Between Past and Future

Design for a photography book chronicling my 2019 trip to Havana, Cuba

  • Havana on the Verge captures my time in Cuba, with a focus on everyday life unfolding in the streets of Havana. Through documentary-style images and minimal narrative captions, the project explores themes of resilience, public space, and cultural transformation — from weathered facades and classic cars to digital-era youth filming on mobile phones, and glimpses of an emerging public sector.

Designed and edited as a self-initiated project, the book reflects my approach to storytelling through photography, layout, typography, image curation and image sequencing.
